Morgan Hill (March 6, 2011) – Dinan-tuned BMW Power and Chip Ganassi Racing are two-for-two this season in the GRAND-AM Daytona Prototype class with the No. 01 TELMEX/Target Dinan-Prepared BMW Riley taking the checkered flag. Dinan’s new racing partner, AIM Autosport placed 4th in the N0. 61 car driven by Mark Wilkins and Burt Frissellein in their first race of the season and their first race with Dinan-tuned BMW Power. Memo Rojas in the No. 01 TELMEX/Target Dinan-Prepared BMW Riley was given a penalty early in the race moving him from the front to 11th place. Memo would work his way to second place before giving the No. 01 car to Scott Pruett who would take the lead with 7 laps left for the win. This is the second year in a row Rojas and Pruett have won at Homestead in a Dinan-tuned BMW Powered car.
NOTES OF INTEREST:
- The Dinan Powered Chip Ganssi Racing team has now won 11 of the past 14 GRAND-AM Rolex Series events.
- Pruett and Rojas extend their GRAND-AM win streak to five, winning the last three events of the 2010 season.
