The BMW M5, a car that since 1984 has been regarded as the quintessential high-performance sports sedan. The previous generations of the BMW M5 all possess purebred racing genes and acquitted themselves impressively on the racetrack as well as on the road. The F90 BMW M5 represents the 6th generation and, like those that have come before it, delivers on these promises – and more. The F90 M5 also debuts the M-specific all-wheel-drive system, M xDrive. This new system allows the M5 to reach new heights of dynamic performance and delivers poise in all driving situations whether it requires a sporty RWD mode or a road hugging AWD mode.
Under the hood of the all-new BMW M5 is the latest and most advanced version of the renowned 4.4-liter V8 engine featuring M TwinPower Turbo technology with an output increase from the previous generation of 40 hp and 53 lb-ft, this new engine develops 600 hp and 553 lb-ft of peak torque to promise explosive acceleration and formidable performance. The twin-turbo V8 unit propels the M5 via the new 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic and teams up with the M xDrive system to transfer all of the high-revving turbocharged engine’s might to the road, and allows a 0–60 mph acceleration run in a mere 3.2 seconds, making it the quickest and most agile to date.

Power Modifications
Additional power is commonly one of the first things people want to improve on their vehicle. However, most don't consider much more than the final power number when making decisions on such modifications. While Dinan strives to give the best results we also take into account reliability, stress on the vehicle, and the various effects additional power may have on other systems in the vehicle. We want to give the consumer an OEM+ experience where they don't need to worry about ramifications and instead focus on enjoying the vehicle just like it came from the factory, albeit with significantly more 'oomph.' Some of the upgrades offered include: Engine Tuning: More Power! Maximum gains up to 167 WHP and 201 lb-ft of torque depending on options selected. Axle Back Exhaust / X-Pipe: Deeper exhaust tone, more volume, no drone. CF Cold Air Intake: Improves throttle response and provides under hood aesthetic beauty.
Suspension Modifications
While stance and 'the look' are considered, Dinan suspension components have the ultimate goal of creating a better tactile driving experience and effectively putting the power generated to the ground for maximum enjoyment. Each individual component has specific goals to achieve that end, but together, they embody a total solution that transforms the vehicle into something entirely different. Some of the upgrades offered include: Coil-Over Suspension: Lowers the car and its center of gravity for reduction in body roll. Sway Bars: Reduce body roll and allows more mechanical grip.
