Morgan Hill, Calif. (November, 2016) – Dinan has solidified its reputation as America’s premier BMW tuner over the past 30+ years through its careful application of clever engineering and a relentless commitment to quality. Up to this point, its effort had been focused almost exclusively on BMW’s gasoline powered models and those enthusiasts who had a penchant for Bavarian oil-burners were left out in the cold, so to speak. Now though, Dinan is pleased to announce the release of their new Dinan Diesel tuner, based on the company’s Sport Performance Tuner.
BMW’s modern diesel engines are paragons of performance that don’t at all resemble the noisy dirty diesels of the past. These new 28d and 35d engines produce mountains of torque and real useable power with incredible efficiency. BMW enthusiasts, though, rarely are willing to leave something stock and so the demand for more power and torque prompted Dinan to undertake development on new software specifically for the diesels.
The Dinan Diesel performance tuner is capable of unleashing an additional 40 horsepower and 70 lb-ft of torque from the M57/N57 35d models and 30 horsepower and 50 lb-ft from the smaller N47-powered 28d models. The best thing about these numbers is that they’re able to make that power and torque without causing computer codes or undue wear and tear on the engine so you’ll be able to enjoy its increased performance for years to come.
The Dinan Diesel performance tuner is also equipped with a Bluetooth module that allows the tune to be adjusted on the fly via a free smartphone app. The app allows for some limited customization in the level of boost you wish to run and include five modes; valet, stock, sport, sport plus and race. Another mode available within the app is the boost gauge mode. When active, the Dinan Diesel performance tuner streams live boost pressure data to the phone so the user can monitor and verify the increase or decrease in boost.
The Dinan Diesel performance tuner offers a limited one-year product only warranty that protects the user against material and workmanship defects. Even though it may not hold the warranty Dinan is known for, the device has still been rigorously tested and has met Dinan’s standards for reliability and safety.
