The DINANTRONICS Elite Performance Tuner is a highly engineered piece of computer hardware and software that enhances engine performance to levels the stock programming is not allowed to venture into. It does this without negatively affecting long term reliability or the functionality of on-board diagnostic systems. Stemming from diverse backgrounds not only on racing teams but on standard factory production line vehicles we have seen it all. Manipulating these signals with an adept hand all the while keeping an engine running at its best and with the most reliable power is what Dinan is all about. NOTE (1): The DINANTRONICS Elite for the BMW 2.0T engine (N26) has been discontinued and replaced by the DINANTRONICS X but limited stock is still available at the listed reduced price. Units are sold AS IS and carry a 30 day, defect only warranty. NOTE (2): In stock trim, we found that the N20 engine produces more power than the N26 engine at peak rpm (+24 Hp at 6,000 rpm). This, despite BMW's claims that the N26 engine produces just as much power as the N20. Below 5,500 rpm, both engines perform identically. By all means, the engines are identical, except for the EVAP system and the catalytic converters. The N26 engine uses higher density (read: more restrictive) CATs, which robs power from the engine at high rpm. The N26 CATs have 900/600 cells/square inch, while the N20 CATs have 600/400 cells/square inch. This difference also affects the power gains with DINANTRONICS.
